Today Mike & I did dog rescue transport for the 1st time.  We picked up 3 dogs in Fredericksburg from an other transporter & drove them to Alexandria, where an other driver took them to Baltimore, etc.  The dogs originally came from a high-kill shelter in Georgia & were en route to northern rescues via 1-hr legs of travel.  There were other dogs & cats riding with other drivers at different parts of the convoy.

I was on Cloud 9 all day afterward :)  I loved riding in the back with the pups while Mike drove; Hayes, Annabelle, & Sandy are such awesome dogs.  I hope I can afford the gas to do this more often!

Here are some pics of our passengers:

It was the best feeling to know we had a hand in helping these wonderful animals escape death at a shelter & helped them on their way to future loving homes.  I only wish I we could save them all.
