Ocho is
an other Houdini who escaped her holding crate before her vet
appointment & hid in the shadows. A few weeks later, Mike
heard mewling coming from a storage area. We found 4 recently
born
kittens nestled together on the floor. By setting them up on
a comfy towel in a carrier with a string rigged to the door,
we were able to catch Ocho & bring them all to their own
room upstairs.
Now
we had 2 litters of adorable kittens, both with very feral
mamas. Ocho was a good sport & a good mom. She & her
family were in the office & there was often a person
or 2 around, but she seemed ok with that. It was good for
her kittens, who picked up on her shyness. But soon they
were scampering around the room & interacting well
with people.
Ocho's
kittens are now grown & she's returned to her solitary
ways avoiding people. She is usually seen snoozing on the
futon or in a cat bed. She prefers
the companionship of his fellow Tribemates.
We'll
keep you posted on this shy gal's progress.
